Analyze Disinformation and Influence Operations
Disinformation: Detecting, Collecting and Analyzing is a three-day specialist course designed for practitioners working in environments where false or manipulated information can influence decisions, behavior and outcomes.
Modern disinformation operations are deliberate and organized, using tactics such as bot networks, coordinated inauthentic behavior and synthetic media to achieve strategic objectives. These campaigns exploit online platforms to amplify narratives, shape perception and create confusion at scale.
This course develops the capability to identify, collect, and analyze disinformation campaigns using structured, tool-agnostic methodologies. Participants learn how to detect inauthentic content, understand actor intent, and assess the impact of narratives, enabling more informed and timely responses.
Available via instructor-led delivery. A self-paced, on-demand alternative is available through the OSINT Combine Academy (Disinformation: Detecting, Collecting and Analyzing).

Course FAQs
This course is designed for intelligence analysts, investigators, researchers, and security professionals who need to understand and counter disinformation as part of their operational role, particularly in environments where information integrity impacts decision-making.
Disinformation and influence operations can distort the information environment and impact decision-making. Developing the ability to identify, interpret and assess manipulated content ensures intelligence outputs remain accurate, defensible, and relevant.
A foundational understanding of OSINT is recommended (such as OSINT Essentials, Core OSINT or equivalent experience).
No prior experience with disinformation analysis, scraping tools, or data visualization is required.
This course focuses specifically on detecting and analyzing disinformation and influence operations.
While broader OSINT training develops general investigative workflows, this course develops the capability to identify inauthentic content, assess actor intent, and analyze how narratives are created, amplified and used to influence decisions.
This course is delivered as instructor-led training, combining expert instruction with practical exercises and real-world scenarios. It can be delivered in person or virtually and tailored to your team’s operational context.
A self-paced, on-demand alternative is available through the OSINT Combine Academy via the Disinformation: Detecting, Collecting and Analyzing course.
