Professionals from intelligence, law enforcement, financial crime and cybersecurity backgrounds convened in Dubai this week to learn about opportunities, challenges and innovations in the intelligence world at ISS World Middle East and Africa. 

 

It was great to catch up with existing friends of OSINT Combine and to meet new ones.  

 

With attendees reflecting on the presentations during the conference, staff members Paul Farley and David Conceicao had lots of great discussions with people keen to utilise open-source intelligence more. Here were some of the takeaways from the team: 

 

• Strong interest in new and emerging open-source data sets for exploitation.  

• Increasing interest in AI technology and how this can assist OSINT investigations. 

• Conversations on the crypto tracing capabilities and vulnerabilities around this.
